In a statement also calling for talented individuals to aid in its development, id announced that Doom 4 has begun production.
Todd Hellinshed, CEO of id said, “DOOM is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next installment of our flagship franchise to Earth. It’s critical for id Software to have the best creative minds in-house to develop games that meet the standards synonymous with our titles.”
Sure, hearing that id is accepting new talent into the fold is great and all, but what we really want is to hear more information on the latest version of DOOM. Apparently, so says the ESA, id Software will not be making any kind of appearance at E3, which leaves us frothing at the mouth, wondering when we can get solid details on the new title. GWN will be sure to bring you any news on the new production as it is released.
