With The Guys

So, you've been on a date, and things went swimmingly (and by "swimmingly" we mean that she didn't kick you in the nuts and call the police). Now you're ready to hang out with the fellows. You know that guys socialize offline, but strangely you have yet to experience this so called "male bonding" that you've heard so much about. Here are a few pointers to get you in with the guys.

Do / Don't:

• Shake hands firmly in greeting / Bow firmly in greeting
  
• Answer with your hometown when asked, "Where are you from?" / Answer with "127.0.0.1" when asked, "Where are you from?"
  
• Go to "the game" with the guys / Pretend to cast buffs on your team, once there
  
• Invite the guys to play pool / Invite the guys to "some PVPool"
  
• Be a gracious winner / Nod self-righteously and mutter "All your base are belong to us"
  
• Wear your best clothes to the club / Wear your best this to the club (yikes)
  
• Ask "Where?" when invited to a party / Ask "LAN?" when invited to a party
  
• Bring your own booze / Bring your own rig
  
• Party like a rock star / Party like a phantasy star
  
• Slap some hands before you leave / Do a pelvic thrust victory animation

Well, there you have it; GWN's little guide on how to get along in the real world. It may not be an easy journey. It may not be a painless journey. Hell, it may not even be a long-lived journey. But one thing is for sure. It will be a journey. So, kick off those Zelda themed bedsheets, take your weekly shower, kiss your mom goodbye (while simultaneously borrowing her car keys), and get out there. The world is PMing you.
