Bungie Game Reveal Halted By Publisher

Home : News : News Story

Bungie, about to reveal a new project, was told to keep quiet.

Geared up and ready to announce a new game they have been working on, Bungie was silenced at the last minute by their publisher. On their community website a response from Harold Ryan, President of Bungie, stated that: "For the last several months we’ve been building toward a reveal of something exciting that Bungie is working on. We were looking forward to sharing that with our fan community during the week of E3. However, those plans were just changed by our publisher."

No doubt a disappointment to the giant host of Bungie and Halo fans out there. But some news has indeed come out of E3 regarding the publisher and their developments. During an interview with MTV, Microsoft's Don Mattrick revealed, perhaps accidentally, that Bungie are working on a Halo game for Microsoft. And it's not the secretive Peter Jackson project. It's something else.

Rumors are also floating around that since Bungie is a big company capable of multiple project developments, this may be a game separate to the one mentioned in the message from Bungie President Harold Ryan.
