The Force Is Unleashed This Week

Australian, North American, and European launches afoot.

LucasArts this week announced that its long-awaited next-gen Star Wars title, The Force Unleashed, is now available for purchase in Australia and North America. A European launch will follow on September 19.

"The development teams here at LucasArts, at Krome Studios, and at n-Space, have put a tremendous amount of effort into creating this all-new Star Wars story and innovative technology," said Darrell Rodriguez, President of LucasArts'.

"I am extremely proud of what Executive Producer Haden Blackman and his team have been able to accomplish in The Force Unleashed, and can't wait to hear what fans think of it when they've played through the game."

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been developed using Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter technology and NaturalMotion's Euphoria engine. It is available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2/3/P, Nintendo DS, and Wii.
