The level environments include the usual levels you should come to expect in video games. Whether it’s battling in the desert, inside icy artic levels, or above forests, the levels are what I like to call the “usual suspects.” As a plus, the game does use licensed planes and they have decent detailing for graphics. In general though, the graphics are mediocre; the explosions and effects are lackluster. The most problematic situation is that the framerate does drop from time to time and isn’t consistent.

Lastly, the two things that stick out as tacked on are the multiplayer and soundtrack. The multiplayer is best when playing cooperative to battle the bosses. The competitive side of the multiplayer is a let down and doesn’t do the game justice. Multiplayer is mainly a “tag” match where you chase each other around tagging each other so you aren’t it anymore. The soundtrack on the other hand is flat out embarrassing with generic rock tracks that you would expect in the original After Burner. But, if that’s what the developers were aiming for, then they did their job well.
