Go ad-hoc for up to eight players while in class or 16 with infrastructure. The only thing to remember is not to put bots in the game. If there’s any one flaw that can be pointed to in RS, it’s the lack of intelligent AI. It is so primitively bad it’s almost amusing. Getting into a fight with a lightsaber wielding Jedi is no threat, even at close range, with at least mediocre skill.
So if you play a match online and have bots on, the game will not be any fun. It will be a massacre. Several play-tests have proven that it is unfair in the most ridiculing way, and there should be none of that, at least intentionally. As stated before, the single player is criminally easy, and the reason is just this. Fighting an enemy whose brain resembles the emptiness of space is no laughing matter. It practically requires weeping.
Is Renegade Squadron the next big hit for the PSP? No, not really. It is a must have though, with the insane amount of personalization and great multiplayer fun. The poor AI and incredibly short campaign will make it boring quickly, but the online play gives a new meaning to portable gaming. Find a wireless connection and jump on.
